BILINGUAL BENEFITS SPECIALIST

ABOUT WHOLESOME WAVE GEORGIA

Founded in 2009, Wholesome Wave Georgia (“WWG”) believes that all Georgians should have access to fresh, healthy, locally-grown food choices. Wholesome Wave Georgia works to reimagine the cost, accessibility, and affordability of fresh, nutritious foods in our state.

Our mission is to get healthy food from local farmers to Georgia families in need.

Wholesome Wave Georgia makes fresh, healthy, locally-grown produce affordable and available to Georgians through partnerships with over 100 statewide partners, such as farmers markets, farm stands, brick-and-mortar retailers, and healthcare providers.

We work towards our mission through our core programs: Wholesome Wave Georgia Fresh for Less, Wholesome Wave Georgia Food For Health, and Wholesome Wave Georgia SNAP Connection.

WWG facilitated more than $6.5 million in economic impact via spending at partner sites since 2009 by matching the value of SNAP/EBT (commonly referred to as food stamps) on fruit and vegetable purchases. Alongside healthcare partners, Wholesome Wave Georgia also provides food prescriptions that make locally-grown food free for participants, which comes with healthy lifestyle coaching. Additionally, Wholesome Wave Georgia offers SNAP benefits assistance through free screenings, enrollments, and renewals so that everyday Georgians can access resources they need.
