At Wholesome Wave Georgia, we believe that nourishment goes beyond the plate. It’s about connection, community, and investing in the people who grow our food. That’s why we’re proud to share that we recently sourced fresh, locally grown vegetables from Westside Growers ATL, led by the passionate and visionary Executive Director Rosario Hernandez.
This produce isn’t just food, it’s purpose. The vegetables we purchased were used in our programming that serves older adults across metro Atlanta. By integrating these locally sourced ingredients into our meal and market offerings, we’re not only providing healthier options, but we’re also honoring the deep value of local agriculture and the people behind it.
Buying locally isn’t just a choice, it’s a commitment. It strengthens our local food systems, keeps dollars circulating in our communities, reduces our environmental footprint, and helps ensure that farms like Westside Growers ATL continue to thrive and grow.
This partnership reflects everything we stand for: building strong, sustainable connections between growers and the communities they feed. We’re proud to stand alongside local leaders like Rosario Hernandez, who continue to grow more than just food; they grow access, equity, and opportunity.
