We need fresh, local food more than ever.

The need and demand for fresh, healthy, local food was higher than ever before in 2022. In fact, we matched purchases for local food at partner markets and retailers by more than 50% compared to last year.

Thanks to our work, when Georgia families spend $10 using food stamps — formally known as SNAP/EBT — they get $20 worth of locally grown food. During a time of rampant inflation, this makes a bigger difference than ever.

Help Us Grow Our Impact

Wholesome Wave Georgia has matched more than $300,000 on local food purchases so far this year — an increase of 50% from our five year average.
From August 2021 to August 2022, food prices increased 13.5% — even as pandemic relief programs came to an end.
If every SNAP recipient in Georgia spent $10 at a farmers market each year, it would generate $17 million dollars of economic revenue.
